Canon BJC-7100 Error Code and Reset Manual Instruction

General Info:

  • BC-60 - Black Cartridge
  • BC-61 - Color BJ Cartridge
  • BCI-6c - BCI-61 Color BJ Tank
  • BC-62e - Photo BJ Cartridge
  • BCI-62 - Photo BJ Tank

Error Codes

Remove the BJ Cartridge, check that the contacts are clean and the white tape was removed.
Try a new BJ Cartridge (not the BCI ink cartridge)

BJ Cartridge has overheatedSteady7Let the printer cool down for 15 minutes, then press RESUME to restart the printing

Waste Error Reset
Waste Reset Procedure
1: Power off printer
2: Hold Resume button then press and hold POWER, the beeper will sound once.
3: Hold POWER and release RESUME
4: Press RESUME twice
5: When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange.
6: Press Power to set data

To Set Model
If you have a BJ-F800 you can set it to a BJC-8000/BJC-7100
1: Power off printer
2: Hold Resume button then press and hold POWER, the beeper will sound once.
3: Hold POWER and release RESUME
4: Press RESUME five (5) times
5: When the ERROR light is ON
6: Press POWER to set the model ( The ERROR indicator will indicate the model)

IF the ERROR indicator is OFF then printer is presently set as BJ F800 , to set to BJC-7100/8000 press POWER
IF the ERROR indicator is ON then printer is presently set as BJC-7100/8000, to set to BJ F800 press RESUME
The printer will turn off
